While the Patient Portal itself remains your patient’s consistent hub, this update is designed to naturally move more of your patients into the portal environment, making your services more efficient than ever.
How the new workflow works:
- The Entry Point: To keep things fast, every booking still starts as a Guest Checkout. This ensures new patients can start their journey without any barriers.
- The Smart Prompt: At the beginning of the process, patients will be prompted to Sign-In if they already have an account. If they do, their core details—Address, GP, Allergies, and Repeat Medications—are auto-populated instantly. They jump straight to the service-specific pre-screen.
- The Registration Boost: For patients who complete their booking as a guest, a new prompt at the confirmation stage will invite them to Register for the Patient Portal using the details they’ve already provided.
This means that over the coming months, your “registered” patient base will grow significantly, leading to faster bookings and higher patient retention across all your services.

The bookings and pre-screen overhaul goes live in June 2026. To make sure you’re ready to capitalise on the increase in patient registrations, we recommend two simple steps:
- Check Your Logo: Head over to the Superintendent’s Area and ensure your pharmacy logo is uploaded and up to date. This ensures the portal and all patient communications look professional and aligned with your brand.
- Start the Conversation: When patients come in for a service, remind them that by “Signing In” or registering at the end of their booking, their next visit to your pharmacy will be significantly faster.
